Pinteresting!

For a while now I have been ever so slightly addicted to the phenomena that is Pinterest. For those of you who have not yet been lured by its promise then let me explain what it is.

Pinterest is a website that acts like a virtual pinboard, or as it says on its website,

'Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.'

The main reason I use Pinterest is for creating mood boards but people use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes and share their favorite recipes . Gone are the days of bookmarking dozens of web pages and images only to forget why I'd done so a few days later!


This love affair with Pinterest is in its early stages, but already I have a growing collection of boards.

But Pinterest is not only a virtual scrapbook, you can also see what other people are pinning and if you like their style you can follow them.

Here’s how it works: Users are able to create boards about anything and fill them with photos that they come across from around the web. They can then follow other lists and users, see what they have been pinning and “repin” specific items to their boards.

And The Results Are Out.....

At last the long wait is over and we can finally get to see the results! As you may remember back in August we were approached by Ideal Home Magazine who wanted to feature our home in the December issue of the magazine. For those of you who may want to read about the photo shoot the post can be found here.

Anyway, you know that feeling that you get when you've said yes to doing something only to regret it as the event gets closer? Well that's how I've been feeling for the past few weeks. Gradually as November has drawn closer I have been getting increasingly nervous about seeing the results in print

So this morning I braced myself when I was handed a copy of the magazine and OMG there I was sitting there for all to see!!! (can I please point out that I hate having my photo taken and believe it or not I am normally a very private person).

So here you have it......... at home with Homes and Dreams!
